There are two ways to add multiple photos to Instagram stories. You can either go the straightforward way and make a collage. Or, you can use the Photo Sticker option. The latter looks much better since it gives you the flexibility to arrange the photos as per your choice. There’s only one way to go about it when it comes to adding multiple photos to Instagram posts. So here’s how to add multiple photos to Instagram Post or Story.
How to Add Multiple Photos to an Instagram Story
1. Use Layout
The Layout tool allows you to choose from several different types of collages. Besides that, it’s easy and simple to use. The good thing is that you can post instant photos or pick one from your phone’s gallery. Step 1: Swipe right on your Instagram homepage to open Story. Tap on the little arrow on the left, as shown below. Step 2: Pick Layout from the list, and tap on the Change Grid option. Pick the grid of your choice. All you need to do is click photos. Alternatively, you can tap on the Photo icon on the lower-left corner to pick photos from your phone’s gallery. Once done, just tap on the Tick button at the center. That’s it. Add all the necessary stickers and details, and the photo is ready to be shared with your followers.
2. Use Photo Sticker
But if you ask me, the Layout grids can appear a little stiff. If you want a more ‘fun’ way to add multiple photos to Insta stories, you can’t go wrong with the built-in Photo sticker option. This one lets you add a bunch of photos in one go. Step 1: Open Story and pick a photo from the gallery. Alternatively, you can click one on the spot. Step 2: Tap on the Sticker icon at the top and scroll down, until you see the option for Photo Sticker. Now all you need to do is pick a photo from your phone’s gallery to add it to the story. And it doesn’t end there. Tap on the photos to turn them into adorable shapes. From stars to circles, you can experiment with several shapes. Apart from that, you can also adjust the size and the orientation of the photo. Simply pinch out to enlarge the photo. Repeat the steps above to add as many photos as you want. Once done, give a finishing touch by adding an apt sticker. Then, tag and share.
How to Add Music to Stories with Multiple Photos
Thankfully, Instagram doesn’t discriminate between normal stories and stories with collages. Step 1: Once you have added all the photos, tap on the Sticker icon and select Music. Step 2: Pick a song from the available list or search for one. Instagram automatically assigns the best part of the song. However, you can always scrub to find the portion that interests you. Tap on the Font-icons to change the style of the lyrics. However, just tap on the little Cross icon if you do not want to display the lyrics. Once everything is in place, hit the Done button. Your story is now ready to be shared.
How to Add Multiple Photos to Instagram Post
The feature to add multiple photos to Instagram Post has been there. It’s a straightforward process. For now, you can add around 10 photos at one go. Step 1: Tap on the Plus icon at the top-right corner to add a new Post. Next, tap on the Resize icon at the left. This will prevent the non-square photos from getting cropped automatically. Step 2: Once done, tap on the Multiple little Photos-icon on the right and select the photos you wish to upload. The real hero of this feature is the editing options. You can either pick the same filter for all the photos. Or, you can select individual filters for each photo. To do so, tap on the circular icon on the bottom-left corner. Once you have finished doing all the edits, add a catchy caption and share. That’s it!
Tell a Beautiful Story
Over the years, Instagram has introduced a slew of features and has minimized the dependency on third-party apps. However, if you want a unique collage for your stories and posts, you can always use apps like Canva or Adobe Spark and let your creativity run wild.
